Renná Bruce was born in Rivers, Manitoba and travelled across Canada with her military family during her childhood. She graduated from Ryerson in Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree and she has published in poetry, creative writing, short stories and newspaper reporting. She has also been a copywriter, broadcaster and account manager for radio. Her professional background is in communications, media and marketing management. Kevin Strang — Illustration Colouring, and Page Design

Kevin Strang is a freelance graphic designer with over 25 years of experience in the print industry. Kevin and his company have brought the caricatures to life on the pages in the Jazlyn J book series. Along with his design abilities, Kevin has also trained other artists to use the leading software in the graphic design industry. Kevin also works as a colourist for the popular "For Better or For Worse" comic strip. Another contributing artist is Mandy Strang, a recent graduate of the Graphic Design Program at Georgian College. Mandy has worked closely with her father Kevin to develop the colouring style for the series.
